Hello! Welcome back!
Today we’ll talk more about body growth in middle childhood.
Girls have slightly more body fat while boys have more muscle. During middle childhood the bones in the body get longer and wider enabling children to have unusual flexibility to do handstands and cartwheels.
As their bodies become bigger and stronger more exercise is needed to facilitate adequate physical growth. In addition, night time growing pains become common, their teeth become permanent during this stage and their bones in the face and mouth gets wider to accommodate the permanent teeth.
That’s a wrap, come again soon! ♥
